STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The five rules listed above require each student to accept the following responsibilities in order to experience a successful school year.
A. I will be in school and in class on time. If I am late because I was detained by another teacher, I will have a pass. I will take my seat promptly and quietly and be prepared to work when class begins.
B. I will bring my covered book, subject notebook, homework assignment, pen (only black or blue ink), and other necessary supplies to class daily. No locker privileges during class will be allowed.
C. I will study for tests and quizzes, finish homework and other assignments on time and with care and neatness. Homework will be part of my grade. I will not receive credit for late homework unless due to an excused absence.
D. I will listen and follow directions. If I have a question about an assignment, I will ask it when it is assigned, not when it is due.
E. I will treat all property (personal and school) with care and respect.
F. I will raise my hand silently if I have a question or an answer or if I have something to say.
G. I will remain in my seat and continue working until the end of class. I will remember that the teacher dismisses the class, not the bell.
H. I will be quiet and keep busy if a student, teacher, or other person enters the room. When an announcement is made, I will stop what I'm doing and listen attentively.
I. When in a laboratory situation, I will not do anything until instructed in the proper procedure by the teacher. This is for my safety and the safety of others in the room.
J. Make-up work is my responsibility. All make-up work should be completed within five (5) school days of my return to school except in extenuating circumstances.
K. I will use appropriate language at all times. This means no swearing, no vulgarity, no sexual comments, and no insulting or degrading comments.
L. I will accept responsibility for my learning, actions, decisions, and behaviors. I will accept the consequences for not fulfilling any of my responsibilities.
