Welcome to our team website. A team consists of approximately 110 students of varying ability levels. A teacher from each of the major subject areas, a guidance counselor, and teachers from other subject areas will be planning and working together to provide students with a more personal and meaningful education. Our team is like its own smaller school within the larger school.
In accordance with our mission statement, Slater is a mutally supportive, safe, healthy environment that prepares all students with skills and opportunities to live and work successfully in a free and democratic society by establishing a community of responsible learners who embrace diversity and achieve high educational standards.
We look forward to working with all students and parents as we work towards achieving the performance standards aligned with our respective curricula. In many cases, teachers and students will utilize rubrics to clarify academic expectations. Interdisciplinary studies and projects, field trips, and guest speakers will round out students' classroom experiences.
