Our Math curriculum consists of 24 topics that are divided among the three trimesters. Throughout the year, topics are introduced, reviewed, and built upon.  Here is a link to the NCTM standards for grades K to 2. Here is a link to the revised Mimosa Program

During the first trimester, I will cover:

Topic 1: Reviewing Numbers up to Ten

Topic 2: Investigating Patterns

Topic 3: Addition Sentences

Topic 4: Addition Fact Strategies - "Counting On"

Topic 5: The Numbers 11 and 12

Topic 6: Measurement-Length, Volume, and Weight

Topic 7: The Numbers 13, 14, and 15

During the second trimester, I will cover:

Topic 8: Investigating 2D and 3D Shapes

Topic 9: Investigating Subtraction

Topic 10: The Numbers 16 and 17

Topic 11: The Numbers 18 and 19

Topic 12: Using Money

Topic 13: Exploring Equal Groups

Topic 14: Visual Representation (Graphs)

Topic 15: Exploring Addition Combinations 

During the third and final trimester, I will cover:

Topic 16: Tens and Ones 

Topic 17: Time 

Topic 18: Investigating Units of Measurement

Topic 19: Subtraction Sentences

Topic 20: Relating Addition and Subtraction

Topic 21: Making Equal Groups

Topic 22: Subtraction Strategies
