ABSENCE

Students are expected to be in school unless illness or a family emergency keeps them from attending. On the day a student is absent from school, a parent or guardian should notify the school by phone by 9:30 am. Upon returning to school, the parent or guardian must provide a written excuse stating the date and reason for the absence. A student must be in attendance during the school day in order to attend after-school activities. Each parent or guardian of a child within the compulsory school attendance age is responsible for the child's regular and punctual attendance at school as required by law.
