 How do teachers/staff  login to the computers?

  1. Your username is your last name and first initial, with no spaces.

EX. Lynn Cristino logs in as cristinol

  1. Your password is the one you submitted. If it doesn't work, tell your Technology Coach or call the computer department (X358).

How do students login?

  1. Elementary Schools: The class has one username. It is the first four letters of the school, followed by the room number, with no spaces.

EX. Room 14 at Fallon would login as fall14

 

  1. Secondary Schools: Students’ usernames are the first 4 letters of their last names and first 4 letters of their first names.

EX. Louis Lopes logs in as lopeloui

Students’ passwords are four numbers that are randomly

generated.

 

What is the district policy on computer use?

  • See the computer screen message and student handbook. It is also on the web on the Technology Department’s web. Mike St. Jean is the Director of Technology.

 

How can I learn more about the technology we are using in Pawtucket ?

  • Check out your school’s software menu on any computer, since they are all networked.

  • Hersh and Lynn Cristino are the Teacher Technology Coordinators for the Pawtucket School Department. Send us an e-mail and we will come do any training at your school or in our training lab (Ad. Building). We ask for groups of 4 or more teachers.

  • All Pawtucket School Department employees have an email account. We use GroupWise for our e-mail. Addresses are last name and first initial @psdri.net.

  • You can check your mail from home or school by going to our web page and clicking on WebAccess.

Who do teachers contact if there is a problem?

  • Let your Building Technology Coach (formerly known as Systems Operator) know what the problem is.

  • They will enter the information into a database that the Technology Department checks daily.

How do I get free dial-up service at home?

  • This service is provided through RIDE, not Pawtucket School Department. Our representative is Mary Kennedy.
