PTO (Parent/Teacher Organization)

Regular meetings of the PTO take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the library. We are always looking for new members. Come and help out!! We look forward to seeing you there.


SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT MEETING (SIT)

The regular School Improvement meeting will be held on the second Wednesday of the month in the library from 6:00-8:00 PM. Everyone is invited.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL NOTE CHANGES!!!!

Children should arrive to school by no earlier than 8:25 AM and no later than 8:45 AM. Any child arriving later than 8:45 AM will be considered late. Please emphasize the importance of arriving to school on time and every day.
ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL

If your child is absent from school, please inform us by calling the school in the morning. When your child returns to school, they must have a note indicating the reason for the absence as required by state law. Please note that a child who is absent for twenty or more days during the school year may be retained. Please emphasize the importance of attending school on a regular basis. SCHOOLS ARE EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN A 95% ATTENDANCE RATE and this rate is part of our yearly performance evaluation. WHEN YOUR CHILD ATTENDS SCHOOL ON A REGULAR BASIS, YOU ARE HELPING TO IMPROVE OUR SCHOOL!!!!

EARLY DISMISSALS

If you are going to dismiss your child from school before 2:40 PM, you must send in a note and contact the school by phone. WE CANNOT GIVE MESSAGES TO STUDENTS FROM PHONE CALLS SIMPLY BECAUSE WE CANNOT CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY OVER THE TELEPHONE. PLEASE HELP US TO PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH A SAFE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT.

Just a reminder that during very cold or wet days, students will be allowed to enter into the cafeteria to stay warm and until the bell rings.

Children eating breakfast at school should line up at the loading dock cafeteria entrance at 8:15.
