In May 2007, Slater was honored by the New England League of Middle Schools by being named a SPOTLIGHT SCHOOL.
Dr. Robert Spear of NELMS, Mr. William Fasano of RI Middle Level Educators, and
Mayor James Doyle attended the banner presentation along with hundreds of our wonderful students and teachers.
