Winters' Wildcat Expectations
The following behaviors are expected of all students. They are similar to the Learner Qualities assessed on report cards. We urge everyone at Winters to try their best everyday and practice respectful behavior.
1. I will be in my classroom on time.
- School begins at 8:30AM so I should be lined up at the Multi-Purpose Room door (if I eat breakfast at school) or my assigned door before 8:30AM.
2. I will come to school every day.
- Unless I am very sick, I will be at school every day. I will try to have appointments after school, but if I can't it's ok to leave school and then return with a note because it will be an excused absence.
3. I will treat everyone, including myself, with respect by my actions and words.
- I will follow the school district dress code, not bully any one, or litter the school yard, halls, or bathrooms. I will not yell, run, or talk out in class or in halls. I will remember to use my inside voice.
4. I will come to school prepared to do my best.
- I will come to school with my homework completed, all forms returned that must be signed by a parent/guardian, books and tardy/absence notes signed.
5. I will show self control.
- I will not jump to conclusions. I will be patient, stop and think and not throw temper tantrums. I will take deep breaths to calm down, be polite and listen to others.
6. I will accept responsiblity for my actions.
- I will admit when I have made a wrong choice, tell the truth and not blame others for my actions.
