Each day at school presents new learning opportunities and experiences that can enrich a student’s education.
Why Attendance Matters
Regular attendance is crucial for student success. Research shows that students who attend school consistently are more likely to achieve academic success, graduate high school, and be prepared for college and career opportunities. By attending school regularly, students have the opportunity to engage with their teachers and peers, participate in classroom discussions and activities, and develop important social and emotional skills.
It’s also important to note that every day counts when it comes to learning. Missing even a few days of school can lead to falling behind academically and struggling to catch up. That’s why it’s important for students to make attendance a priority and for families to support them in this effort.
Attendance Policies and Procedures
Our school district has clear policies and procedures in place to track student attendance and support families in addressing any attendance issues that may arise. We expect all students to attend school on time and every day unless they are sick or have a valid excuse for their absence.
You can keep track of your students grades and attendance by login into Skyward. If your child is going to be absent, please notify the school as soon as possible to provide an explanation for their absence.
Support and Resources
We understand that there may be challenges that prevent students from attending school regularly, and we are here to help.
Our school counselors, social workers, and other support staff are available to assist families in overcoming barriers to attendance, whether they be related to transportation, health concerns, or other issues. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your school if you need assistance in improving your child’s attendance.

Get Involved
We encourage families to get involved in their child’s education by supporting their attendance and staying engaged with their school. By attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in the classroom, and participating in school events, families can show their children that education is a top priority and set them up for success in the future.
We hope you find the information here helpful in supporting your child’s attendance and academic achievement. Together, we can ensure that all students are set up for success in school and in life.
