Message from the Principal
March 2025
Dear Wildcat Family,
As we step into March, we embrace the promise of spring and the many opportunities this season brings for growth and learning. We are well under way into our second semester and will continue to strive to provide ideal opportunities for learning each and every day.
Our annual SurveyWorks survey is now open! This survey is a vital tool that allows us to gather feedback from students, families and educators to improve our school community. Your voice matters, and we encourage all families to take a few moments to complete the survey. Your insights help us to continue providing the best learning environment for our students.
March is Women’s History Month, and we are excited to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history. Classrooms are encouraged to engage in various activities, discussions, and projects that highlight influential women in science, arts, politics, and beyond. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by exploring books and resources that honor women’s history.
As we prepare for the upcoming RICAS (Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System) testing, we want to ensure that all students feel confident and ready. Teachers are incorporating test-taking strategies and review sessions into their lessons. Families can support their children by encouraging regular reading, practicing math skills, and ensuring they get plenty of rest the night before testing days. Stay tuned for our RICAS/STEAM night this month.
Finally, know that you do not have to wait for a parent forum or parent conferences to call if you have questions, concerns, or needs. We are here to serve you children and families. Please contact your child’s teacher, the office staff, or me if you want to set up a meeting to discuss any issues that arise. As always, THANK YOU for being our partners in this important work helping your child to enjoy learning and preparing for a bright future.
Warmest Regards,
April L. Flowers
