A new school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and celebrate success—and I am excited to begin another year together at Potter-Burns! At Potter-Burns, we want our students to come to school each day knowing that they are safe, valued, supported, and capable of success. We have high expectations for our students, while recognizing that each child experiences learning and the world around them in their own way. Our job is to meet students where they are, provide the support they need, and help them continue to grow—academically, socially, and as members of our school and broader community. We believe that our students are most successful when school and families work together. Supporting a child is truly a partnership, and our families are an important part of the Potter-Burns team. We value family engagement, open communication, and the different cultures, languages, experiences, and perspectives that make our school community so special. When school and families work together, we build the strong foundation our students need to learn, grow, and succeed. Most importantly, I want Potter-Burns to be a place where students want to be, families feel welcome, and staff are proud to work. We may all have different roles, but the work connects back to the same thing—doing what is best for our students.
