Clothes to Kids RI

The clothes are free for families in need. Families can get clothes for their school age children 2 times per year.

Eligibility Guidelines
Families must meet the following criteria to shop at Clothes To Kids RI:
The family must live in the Providence County**.
Burrillville, Central Falls, Cranston, Cumberland, East Providence, Foster, Glocester, Johnston, Lincoln, North Providence, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Providence, Scituate, Smithfield, and Woonsocket
The children and youth must be in K – 12th grade, or working toward earning their General Equivalency Degree (GED). Although the store keeps some smaller sizes on hand, we do not serve children younger than 5-years-old.
The family should be considered in need of assistance:
Receiving free or reduced lunch at school.
Receiving services from a social service agency, school or counseling center.
In crisis due to natural disaster, poverty, homelessness or displacement.
Families must have a letter showing the children’s eligibility for free and reduced price lunch OR a referral from:
A social worker or case manager employed at a local social service agency.
A teacher, administrator, guidance counselor or social worker from a school.
A leader from a family’s place of worship.

Clothes To Kids RI is a nonprofit providing school age children in kindergarten through GED a full wardrobe of clothing – FREE OF CHARGE! Students can receive clothing twice a year.

Our shop allows students to choose their own clothing to fit their unique personality! We are staffed by “personal shoppers” (volunteers) who will guide each family in the shop.
All Shopping is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Students Receive:
5 pairs of NEW underwear
5 pairs of NEW socks
5 tops & 4 bottoms
1 pair of shoes & a jacket

If you are interested in shopping at their store, please let me (Jane Whelan) know and I will send you a referral form and email your name & number to them. YOU NEED THE REFERRAL FORM IN ORDER TO SHOP AT THEIR STORE. Then they are supposed to call you to schedule a time to shop.However I always tell parents to call them during their store hours to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required to shop.
Their shop is bilingual!

Tuesday, Thursday and 3rd Saturday of Month – 9:30AM – 12:30PM.
Wednesday 2:30PM – 5:30PM.

Clothes to Kids RI Information

¿Tiene niños en grados K al 12 que necesiten ropa?

Cualquier estudiante en el Providence County elegible para comidas gratis o precio reducido es elegible para ropa gratis en Clothes To Kids Rhode Island.

Estudiantes elegibles reciben:
á 5 pares de ropa interior nueva á 5 pares de calcetines nuevos á 5 camisas o blusas á 4 pantalones, shorts o faldas á 1 vestido (opcional) á 1 chamarra á 1 par de zapatos

Para recibir ropa gratis por favor siga los siguientes pasos:
Paso 1. Obtenga una carta de referencia de una escuela, agencia de servicios humanos o centro religioso O la carta de comida gratis o precio reducido del districto escolar de sus niños. Nuestro formulario de referencia esta disponible en www.clothestokidsri.org. Referencias deben ser imprimidas en encabezado oficial.

Paso 2. Email al info@clothestokidsri.org para hacer una cita y direcciones a la tienda. Si no contestamos su llamada, por favor deje un mensaje con su nombre y número de telefono. Regresaremos su llamada lo mas pronto posible.

Paso 3. Traiga su carta de referencia O la carta de comida gratis o precio reducido, y una identificacion con foto a su cita.
