Congratulations to Melinda Stachelek, a K–2 Special Educator at Francis J. Varieur Elementary School, on being named the 2026 Pawtucket School District Teacher of the Year!
Staff gathered in the school library as last year’s recipient, Kerri Day, officially passed the torch. Melinda was presented with a fitting classic apple award – a well-deserved recognition of the passion, dedication, and care she brings to her classroom every day.
