The Pawtucket School Department Condemns Antisemitic Rhetoric
Pawtucket, RI – 1/3/25 – We have been made aware of the disparaging antisemitic remarks. Please understand that this person is not employed by the Pawtucket School Department. We do not condone this type of behavior.
Pursuant to our long standing policy on nondiscrimination, the Pawtucket School Department is committed to maintaining an educational atmosphere in which each and every individual can pursue scholastic achievement and personal fulfillment. Accordingly, the Pawtucket School Department policy is that no employee or student shall be subjected to discrimination, unlawful harassment, or retaliation. The Pawtucket School Department prohibits any form of discrimination or unlawful harassment on the basis of disability, marital status, national origin, race, color, religion (creed), age, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or gender expression with respect to both its education programs and employment with the Pawtucket School Department.
The Pawtucket School Department is committed to ensuring any complaints of discrimination and unlawful harassment are promptly and fairly investigated, and that appropriate discipline is applied to those employees and students who violate this policy. The Pawtucket School Department does not tolerate this type of behavior and it has no place in our schools or our community.
