Join us on March 4 and stand up to protect our kids!
Due to the current U.S. administration’s education policies we want to urge elected officials at both the federal and state levels to oppose cuts to educational federal funding and block grants, both of which will hurt public school students.
On Tuesday, March 4, The Pawtucket Teachers’ Alliance, educators, students, parents, and community allies will come together to oppose the attacks on public education and the opportunities available to America’s youth. We urge lawmakers to strengthen, not weaken, our local public schools and the essential services they provide to children, families, and communities. By spotlighting the damaging effects of these assaults on public schools and students, we aim to create public pressure on policymakers and amplify the voices of those most affected.
You can support this action by doing the following:
1. Wear RED for Ed
2.Take selfies /group pics of members and allies wearing red
3. Post to social media with the #ProtectOur Kids hashtag
It’s crucial to make the public aware that cuts to the Department of Education have real, far-reaching consequences for children, families, schools, and communities!
