Where’s Mr. Buck? At Cunningham!!
“If I can do it, you can do it.”
Our Acting Superintendent returned to his roots today, sharing his powerful story with 5th graders — a story of perseverance, hard work, and never giving up.
In his urban community, he faced challenge after challenge. He wasn’t the fastest athlete, but he was determined. The first time he tried out for Penn State Football, he was told he wasn’t good enough. So he got to work — and six months later, he earned his spot.
His message?
“Play the hand you’re dealt — and make it your strength”. He wrapped up by reading “Shirley Chisholm Dared,” reminding students that bold dreams, resilience, and belief in yourself can take you anywhere. What a powerful moment of connection and motivation for our future leaders!
