Pawtucket School Department and the City of Pawtucket Celebrate Completion of New Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary School with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

PAWTUCKET, RI – August 28, 2025 – The City of Pawtucket and the Pawtucket School Department, in partnership with the Pawtucket City Council and the Pawtucket School Committee, proudly announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly completed Elizabeth Baldwin Elementary School.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM at 50 Whitman Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Community members, media, and local stakeholders are invited to attend this celebration of educational progress and community investment.

The ceremony will include remarks from city and school officials, followed by the ceremonial ribbon cutting to mark the opening of this state-of-the-art learning facility. The project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Colliers Project Leaders, Torrado Architects/JLA, Shawmut Design and Construction, the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), and the City of Pawtucket.

“This new facility is more than just a school building, it’s a commitment to our students, families, and educators,” said Interim Superintendent Randy Buck. “Baldwin Elementary will be a place where children grow, learn, and thrive for generations to come.”
