The City of Pawtucket is once again partnering with students from Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts to bring creativity and sustainability together through this year’s rain barrel program.
Talented art students will paint a limited number of the barrels, available on a first-come, first-served basis, using supplies and curriculum support from the Stormwater Innovation Center. These unique, hand-painted barrels were a community favorite last year. Rain barrels will be available to Pawtucket property owners (one per household) for pick-up in early summer at the City’s Department of Public Works, helping residents conserve water while adding a colorful touch to their homes.
