I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and parents who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities. The Pawtucket School District Curriculum guides high quality instruction that takes place every day in the classrooms at Curtis Elementary.  Our curriculum is aligned to both the Rhode Island State Standards and the Common Core Standards which promote 21stCentury learning skills that are rigorous and relevent.  Our programs evoke student interest, critical thinking, and learning in a meaningful way in all core areas.  Our teachers are committed to providing lessons that incorporate technology to enhance instruction.  The on-going use of data gives our teachers current information to guide weekly and daily planning to be able to fascilitate targeted instruction.
