Christopher Martinelli Named Pawtucket District Teacher of the Year

Mr. Christopher Martinelli, a science teacher at Slater Middle School, was honored with the 2024 District Teacher of the Year Award. Members of the school department, coworkers, and family joined together to celebrate the award.

“Mr. Martinelli has the ability to connect and communicate using a student-centered approach that fosters creativity, expression, leadership and overall academic success. Simply put, the students know that Mr. Martinelli believes in them and that he will support them to develop their skills. He is able to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn and has gained the respect and admiration of students, parents and colleagues. In addition to being an educational leader, Christopher is very active in the school community and attends many functions in support of his students. It is evident that he takes pride in his teaching.” said Principal Danielle Bishop.
